About the Work
Dreaming of Home is a quiet meditation on belonging a visual exploration of emotional spaces carried within us, even when the physical ones have long since disappeared. Continuing Sillygoose’s investigation into emotional topographies, the work captures the interplay between memory, identity, and form, offering an intimate reflection on where we come from and how we carry it forward.
The Voice
“Dreaming of Home is about the places we carry with us even when the walls have long since disappeared.”

The Buzz
Impact and Recognition
By situating the works within the Carriage Works’ layered history, the exhibition Home invited audiences to consider both personal and collective narratives of place. For Sillygoose, the inclusion marked a meaningful chapter in an ongoing dialogue between art and the inner landscape—where home becomes both memory and question. Through Placeandchips, the exhibition also explored belonging, displacement, and identity, positioning Dreaming of Home within Swindon’s evolving cultural landscape.
