Cat Street Art Spotlights “Playtime” by Sillygoose

We’re thrilled to announce that Sillygoose has been featured by Cat Street Art, a global platform celebrating the purr-fect intersection of contemporary cat culture and visual art.

Kitties rule the world & life is art! ✨ That’s the spirit behind Cat Street Art’s curated selections and this month, Sillygoose joins the lineup with her contemplative and quietly clever digital series, Playtime.”

Known for her minimal, emotionally rich compositions, Sillygoose brings her signature tone to a new feline form. Playtime follows a black cat in shifting poses  always reaching, never arriving. The work doesn’t chase resolution, but instead finds meaning in pursuit itself. Moments of pause, hesitation, and near-contact are stretched into something intimate and moving.

“It’s about ‘the almost,’” says Sillygoose. “Where meaning lives not in catching something, but in trying.”

Based in Malta, Sillygoose’s visual style blends softness with surreal humor, using restrained palettes and clean forms to evoke quiet emotions — curiosity, longing, stillness. Playtime carries that same energy: delicate, observational, and subtly surreal.

We’re grateful to Cat Street Art for spotlighting this piece and for building a playful, passionate space where cat-inspired art thrives.
