Cira Green Rooftop. Returning after taking part in the festival’s 2025 edition, Sillygoose joins the 2026 gallery with a new illustration, The Slippery Dip, continuing a creative connection that began on the Philadelphia rooftop a year earlier.

The Story Behind the Work

Sillygoose returns to Root 2 Fruit with The Slippery Dip, a piece built around that brief moment when control gives way to movement. There is always a pause at the top of a slide. You know what comes next, but you still have to let yourself go. The illustration takes that familiar feeling and turns it into something playful, using shape, rhythm and colour to hold the moment just before gravity takes over. It is lighthearted on the surface, but underneath sits a small idea about uncertainty, trust and enjoying the ride.
